For more than 30 years, Debra has maintained an impressive track record of marketing excellence and leadership in homebuilding and development. Clients appreciate her corporate home-building experience, wide knowledge of the industry, creativity, strong product decisions – and downright instinct. As President of The Bernard Partnership, a boutique consulting firm, she oversees all aspects of Sales and Marketing for private and publically held companies on both the East and West Coasts.
She provides guidance and inspiration for strategic project positioning, land planning, product design, advertising/promotion, and overall marketing campaigns. These new home communities have varied from entry-level, single-family detached homes to apartments, condominiums, mixed-use and master-planned environments. These neighborhoods have ranged in size from 25 to 5000 units in one location, with the average project ranging between 100 to 500 units.
Named the first woman Vice-President of California’s largest homebuilder (KB Home) at age 26, her work has led to over 100 industry honors. A Connecticut native, she holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. She has held numerous board positions with Sales and Marketing Councils in California and Connecticut, and has served on the Economic Development Commission in Simsbury, Connecticut, where The Bernard Partnership is officed. She is also a founding member of the Professional Women in Business (PWB) chapter in the San Francisco Bay Area.
