  • In December 2015, EPA released a voluntary Construction General Permit (CGP) compliance template for residential construction projects of less than one acre. This project was undertaken in direct response to a request by NAHB to simplify the stormwater compliance process for small builders. During the webinar, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) staff will explain eligibility guidelines for using the template, and walk through a new simplified checklist of BMP options.  Hear about early lessons learned from the field and get your questions answered. While the new template is only available in states where EPA is the direct permitting authority (NM, ID, MA, NH, D.C.), home builders’ associations and water quality officials in other states are encouraged to attend to prepare for launching simpler, less complicated compliance guides in their jurisdictions.

Participants in this webinar will be able to:

    • Recognize minimum EPA construction stormwater permit requirements, including how to minimize liability and avoid common compliance mistakes.
    • Decide whether EPA’s new streamlined template is right for you.
    • Get questions answered and provide feedback to EPA staff and other participants.
