The NAHB Remodelers Leadership Scholarship is a $1,500 scholarship designed to encourage local NAHB Remodelers council chairs and vice chairs to learn about the remodeling industry and become involved at the national level. Scholarship recipients will attend the 2019 NAHB Midyear Board Meetings in Washington, D.C., June 4-8. Winners will be assigned mentors who educate and support them through the orientation activities and NAHB Remodelers Board of Trustees and subcommittee meetings.

The scholarship is intended to help defray the expenses associated with traveling to and participating in the scholarship program at the 2019 Midyear meeting. The scholarship is not offered and cannot be used for any other board meeting.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Applicant must be a 2019 chair or vice-chair of a local or state NAHB Remodelers council
  • Must be the member of record holding an active NAHB Remodelers membership in good standing
  • Must be able to attend the scholarship program and NAHB Remodelers meetings June 4-8 in Washington, D.C.
  • Application must be received by the March 25, 2019, deadline

Scholarship recipients will be selected and notified in April 2019.

This award was formerly named the Bryan Patchan Scholarship in honor of NAHB Remodelers’ executive director who served from 1982 to 2000.
