The Board of Governors of the National Housing Center is responsible for the development and oversight of the policies that guide and control the use and promotion of the National Housing Center of the United States. The operation and management of the building is the responsibility of the Senior Officers of the Board of Directors or their designee.

The Board of Governors is also tasked with developing and maintaining the National Housing Hall of Fame to recognize and honor individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to the housing of American people.
