84 Lumber has launched a national partnership with Fisher House Foundation to show continued support for military veterans and their families. Last May, the company announced a $500,000 donation to help the organization build new houses across the country. Each location gives families a comfortable place to stay at no cost while they’re visiting a loved one at a nearby military or VA medical center.
84 Lumber’s donation included $100,000 to help construct the first Fisher House in West Virginia. Representatives from the building materials supplier attended the ground breaking ceremony earlier this month at the Hershel “Woody” Williams VA Medical Center in Huntington. The company also hosted dinner at various Fisher Houses in September.
