2009 Government Affairs Recognition Awards

Awards Program Description and Benefits of Entering:
An annual awards program honoring builders associations and public officials who create more housing opportunities and a stronger building industry. 

 



Eligibility
State or local builders associations in good standing with NAHB may nominate programs or officials. State associations may nominate a local official and local associations may nominate a state official.

Recognition
Honorees will be recognized at the Spring Board of Directors Meeting in Washington D.C. on May 24, 2009.  Honorees will receive an engraved award, as well as coverage in Nation's Building News Online and the State & Local Reporter.

Submitting Your Nomination
For your convenience, the Awards application is available online. Each entry must conform to the submission guidelines and be received by January 15, 2009. Late nominations will not be accepted.

Answers to the nomination questions should fit on two typewritten pages. Supporting materials – news clips, press releases, etc. – should conform to binding guidelines, but can be in addition to the two-page limit. State and Local Official of the Year nominations should include a recent biography.

Binding Guidelines
Entries must be submitted on single-sided 8.5 x 11 paper. Do not staple, tape bind or laminate materials.
