Latest Research and Reports on Housing Affordability

There has been little empirical research done to date on the negative consequences of market intervention via inclusionary zoning approaches or its effectiveness in meeting the need for affordable housing. There has also been little research into other approaches at the state and local level that could be promoted as alternatives to inclusionary zoning. This is a summary of the results of the three major research studies recently prepared for NAHB on inclusionary zoning and other state and local means of addressing housing affordability.
