RCPG 4th Edition Comment Form

The Single-Family Small Volume Builders Committee recently convened a Review Group to  appraise and revise the third edition of the Residential Construction Performance Guidelines (RCPG) published in 2005.  The fourth edition is slated to be published in 2010.    Since its publication in 1996, and in its earlier life as the Quality Standards for the Professional Remodeler, the RCPG has become an invaluable resource for builders and remodelers alike.  It has also become the basis for evaluating performance by parties under residential contracts when dispute may lead to litigation or arbitration.

The members of the RCPG Review Group are soliciting input from you, the users of the text.  The Review Group would like to get as much feedback as possible about how the fourth edition can be changed and improved.  Below is a short form with questions related to the book's content and practical utility.  Your guidance will be taken into consideration as the review is conducted and edits are made.  Note that all responses are confidential; no Review Group Member or other NAHB member will know who submitted comments.  Comments will be accepted through Friday, April 4.

Many thanks for your help with this important project.
