NAHB has multiple opportunities for builders, remodelers and other housing industry professionals to highlight their excellent works and accomplishments throughout the year. Below is a list of all awards that are available to both NAHB members and non- members. We highly encourage housing professionals to apply for any and all awards so we can share your successes with others!
Association Excellence Awards The Association Excellence Awards (AEA) is an annual awards program designed to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of state and local HBAs and executive officers in the field of association management. The awards program is two-fold: the Association Awards and the Individual Awards. The awards program is open to state and local HBAs and their executive officers.
The Best in American Living Awards The Best in American Living Awards (BALA) is the nation's premier award program continually redefining design excellence for the entire residential building industry. It spotlights the most creative and innovative builders, remodelers, architects, developers, land planners and interior designers in the nation. Every year, the awards program, sponsored by NAHB Design Committee, recognizes good design in single-family and multifamily homes of all types and sizes, communities, interior design, remodeling and rental developments.
Best of 50+ Housing Awards Sponsored by Lowe’s Commercial Services, the NAHB 50+ Housing Council’s Best of 50+ Housing Awards program is the industry's most prestigious national awards program honoring excellence in building, design and marketing of housing for boomers and beyond. The Best of 50+ Housing Awards are viewed by the industry and media as a showcase for innovation, emerging trends and quality housing for the mature demographic.
The Jerry Rouleau Awards for Excellence in Marketing and Home Design, presented by the BSC and Log Homes Council Recently renamed to honor the memory of building systems veteran marketer and industry supporter, Jerry Rouleau, the Building Systems Councils' and Log Homes Council's annual excellence awards in marketing and home design salute the finest in technology-driven and systems-built home manufacturing and construction. The awards are open to any member of the Building Systems Councils and NAHB builders using systems-built technology and construction techniques.
Designee of the Year & Educator of the Year The Designee of the Year awards honor leading builders, remodelers and associates who hold NAHB professional designations, and the Educator of the Year award honors quality instructors of NAHB's designation courses. The awards, presented at the annual Designation Achievement Reception, recognize those who are committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism while encouraging others to continue to learn and expand their industry knowledge. Awards are open to NAHB professional designation holders and instructors in good standing.
Multifamily Pillars of the Industry Awards The National Association of Home Builders annual Multifamily Pillars of the Industry Awards program highlights creative development concepts, innovative financing strategies, great design, and superior management and marketing in the apartment and condo marketplace.
National Green Building Awards NAHB honors excellence in sustainable building through the National Green Building Awards. These prestigious annual awards honor home builders, remodelers, home builders’ associations and other organizations for advancing green building through innovative design and construction techniques, excellent educational programs and successful advocacy efforts.
National Housing Hall of Fame NAHB established the National Housing Hall of Fame in 1976 to recognize those individuals whose spirit, ingenuity and determination have changed the face of housing for the better, making America one of the best-housed nations in the world. Being named to the National Housing Hall of Fame is the highest individual honor bestowed by the housing industry.
The Nationals – National Sales and Marketing Awards The Nationals pays tribute to superior sales and marketing achievements by individual sales and marketing professionals, home builders and associates, and sales and marketing councils. It’s the nation's largest competition for new home sales and marketing professionals and communities. Awards are presented at The Nationals Awards Gala during IBS.
NAHB Custom Home Builder of the Year Award Sponsored by Boral North America, this annual award recognizes the professional achievement of a builder who year after year creates exceptional custom homes for the discerning clients, as well as demonstrates positive leadership in the industry and community.
NAHB Professional Women in Building Awards NAHB Professional Women in Building honors councils and individuals for their achievements. Awards include Member of the Year, Member-at-Large of the Year, Woman of the Year and Professional Women in Building Executive Officer of the Year, as well as council awards for outstanding Member Benefits, Member Recruitment and Retention, Legislative and Political Action, and Community Service programs. In addition, the NAHB Professional Women in Building Council awards grants for member travel to the International Builders’ Show, and council sponsor Merillat provides grants for continuing education. Awards and grants are open to members of the NAHB Professional Women in Building Council in good standing.
NAHB Remodelers awards honor professional remodelers and council members for their achievements. The awards include the Council Awards for Demonstrating Remodeling Excellence (CADRE ), the National Remodeling Hall of Fame, NAHB Remodeler of the Year, NAHB Remodeler of the Month, and Homes for Life awards. Awards are open to NAHB Remodelers members in good standing.
NAHB Associate Member Awards The NAHB Associate Member Awards recognize associates who have made outstanding contributions to their local, state and national associations and to the home building industry. The awards, to be presented at the Associate Member Awards Breakfast, include NAHB Associate Member of the Year, the Bill Polley/BUILD-PAC award and the NAHB BEAM (Builders Engaging Associate Members) Award. Awards are open to associate members of NAHB in good standing.
NAHB/Builders Mutual Safety Award for Excellence The NAHB/Builders Mutual Insurance Company Safety Award For Excellence (SAFE) recognizes member companies, workers and other individuals for the excellent safety programs that make them leaders in the residential construction industry.
Presented every year by the NAHB Board of Directors, the Robert J. Corletta Award honors exceptional achievement in affordable housing efforts. The award is named for the late Corletta, former head of NAHB multifamily staff and a staunch advocate for the creation of affordable and low-income housing.
