The Associate Members Committee represents and serves the interests of NAHB members who provide products and services to home builders, developers, and remodelers. The committee oversees the development of programs, resources, and services that make it easier to "do business with a member." The committee also provides guidance and direction for activities, materials, policies, and programs that result in increasing NAHB's Associate representation and involvement within the NAHB federation and the home building and remodeling industry.
The Associate Members Committee has three subcommittees: Advocacy, Leadership & Recognition, and Designation & Training and one Associate Outreach Network group. These four groups meet during the Spring, Fall, and International Builders' Show board of directors meetings and are open to all interested NAHB members. To join, add your name to the sign-up sheets distributed during each subcommittee meeting.
The Associate Members Committee has three awards programs. The NAHB Associate of the Year Award is the highest honor awarded to an associate member by NAHB and recognizes those members who have made outstanding contributions to their local, state, and national association and to the home building industry. The Bill Polley Advocate of BUILD-PAC Award, named in honor of the late NAHB Associate BUILD-PAC subcommittee chairman and NAHB Associate Members Committee member, acknowledges the associate who epitomizes Polley's loyalty and diligent fundraising efforts for BUILD-PAC. The NAHB Builders Engaging Associate Members (BEAM) Award honors the builder who best exemplifies the NAHB motto, "It's good business to do business with a member."
The committee meets at the Spring and Fall Board of Directors meetings and during the International Builders' Show and are open to all NAHB members.
