The Federal Government Affairs Committee monitors a broad range of federal issues that affect home builders, remodelers and developers in addition to the product manufacturers and service providers who work in the home building industry.
Its members understand that homeownership is the foundation of the American Dream as well as the American economy – and that 15 percent of our nation’s jobs rely on a healthy home building and remodeling industry.
Homes are where families raise their children and where they build a sense of stability, pride and accomplishment. Members of the Federal Government Affairs Committee work to stave off tax, legislative and regulatory changes that can threaten not only this American dream, but a century of economic progress that was created on the backs of a prosperous home building industry.
Members of the committee are appointed by the NAHB Senior Officers. To learn more about the committee’s work, you can attend the next meeting of the committee at either the Fall Board of Directors meeting or the International Builders’ Show.
