The value and importance of good, cost-effective design is top of mind for home builders, developers, architects, sales and marketing professionals, remodelers and land planners. For that reason, NAHB members count on the association's Design Committee to help them understand important design trends and solutions and to provide expertise on enhancing the sale of their homes and developments.
The Design Committee provides a distinct service to NAHB members through an array of products and services that help home builders strengthen their businesses. It also promotes public awareness of new and effective design solutions and increases communication and interaction between designers and builders. To learn more about their work, download upcoming meeting materials and view past meeting minutes.
The Design committee has two subcommittees: one that focuses on the Best in American Living Awards, a program that recognizes good design within the residential building industry; and one that focuses on design education at IBS and at other conferences, seminars and online events. Participation in the subcommittees does not have any membership requirements.
Overall, the work of the Design Committee emphasizes new design concepts and the use of building design to improve business and image, and enhances communities through better housing.
