July 2, 2009
We are very pleased to announce that, on June 30, 2009, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) transferred ownership of Multifamily education and designation programs -- Registered in Apartment Management (RAM), Advanced RAM, and Certified Leasing Professional (CLP) -- to the Associated Builders and Owners of Greater New York (ABO).
ABO is the New York City affiliate of NAHB and has been actively engaged in the leadership of the RAM program for many years. We are excited for the opportunities this will create for the program and the people who proudly hold this designation. ABO’s goal is to continue to enhance the integrity, applicability, and national focus of the RAM, Advanced RAM, and CLP programs.
This transfer will not affect your designation status, prior course work, or scheduled courses. The only difference is that ABO will administer all aspects of these education courses and designation programs that were previously managed by NAHB.
ABO will be in contact with you within the next few weeks. In the meantime, if you have any questions about the program, please contact ABO executive director Nicholas La Porte, Jr., Esq., at 212-385-4949. Thank you for your continued support of NAHB education.
Sincerely,
Sharon Dworkin Bell
Senior Vice President
