NAHB
Student Benefits

Student members are future builders and industry professionals. Students become members by joining a Student Chapter. The Home Builders Institute, NAHB’s Workforce Development Arm, oversees Student membership.

The top students in any academic discipline join pre-professional organizations like an NAHB Student Chapter.  Each student member receives many of the same benefits that our regular builder members receive.

Here are a few reasons why you should become an NAHB Student Chapter Member:

  • A chance to win part of thousands of dollars in cash and prizes through national competitions and awards programs
  • Building Futures, the electronic newsletter that connects the Student Chapters
  • Member discount on NAHB publications
  • Access to the NAHB Library, staff professionals, merchandise, and other services
  • $30 registration fee to the International Builders’ Show (fee for non-member students: $50)
  • Networking opportunities
  • Special local student chapter events like field trips and guest speakers
  • Opportunity to qualify for NAHB scholarships
  • Discounts on BuilderBooks.com
  • Access to members-only NAHB.org Web site

Membership provides an opportunity for you to work with experienced builders and gain first-hand knowledge of the home building industry in preparation for your career.

Dues are $5 for high school and CTC-secondary students; $10 for CTC-post secondary, 2 year, and 4 year level students.

Join your Student Chapter today to start taking advantage of all of these great benefits.
