Litigation & Amicus Brief Program

The Office of General Counsel’s Legal Advocacy Program is tasked with going to court on behalf of NAHB to vindicate the interests of the housing industry against unlawful government action. OGC Legal Advocacy carries out its tasks by bringing suit directly, such as in challenging administrative agency regulations, or filing amicus curiae briefs in various federal and state courts.

Legal Action Fund Application Deadline

The Legal Action Fund is designed to help defray litigation costs for builders, developers and state or local associations involved in cases of national significance or exploring a common problem for the housing industry. If you are interested in a Legal Action Fund grant, apply now. The deadline for consideration at NAHB's 2012 International Builders Show Board of Directors Meeting in Orlando is Wednesday, Jan. 18.
