March 12, 2009 - The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Institute of Residential Marketing (IRM) honored Bob Jones, CGP, with the 2009 Friend of the Institute Award. The award was presented to Jones, president of Robert R. “Bob has always been an advocate of the Institute of Residential Marketing and the National Sales and Marketing Council,” said S. Robert August, Fellow, MIRM, CMP, 2008 President of the IRM. “To have his continued support as NAHB’s First Vice Chairman of the Board adds value to our sales and marketing industry professionals."
In addition to his position as one of NAHB’s Senior Officers within the Board of Directors, Jones has served on the Federal Government Affairs Committee, the NAHB Budget and Finance Committee and has served as a NAHB National Vice President for the region of Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. He was also named NAHB State Representative of the Year when he served in that position for his home state of Michigan.
