Green Building is Here to Stay The pioneering work of home builders who worked to bring energy, water and resource efficiency, environmentally sensitive lot development and the construction of a home as an interlaced system has paid off. Families are reaping the benefits, enjoying green homes with lower energy bills, healthier indoor air and a lighter global impact. As the building industry prepares for the launch of the NAHB National Green Building Program in February 2008, take a look at the wealth of resources that NAHB and the NAHB Research Center offer to builders, home buyers and others interested in green building. A History of Green Building NAHB is helping its members move the practice of green building into the mainstream. Energy efficiency, water and resource conservation, sustainable or recycled products, and indoor air quality are increasingly incorporated into the everyday process of home building. Learn more.
