How do I become a Graduate Master Remodeler (GMR)

Graduate Master Remodeler (GMR)
The GMR designation allows recognized CGRs to attain further recognition for their commitment to educational excellence and longevity in the remodeling industry. This is a new program designed to be the master level of the current CGR designation. It allows you the opportunity to take your CGR designation to the next level.
 
Curriculum and other Requirements:
  • Hold an active CGR designation for 9 years or an active CR (Certified Remodeler) certification from NARI (National Association of the Remodeling Industry) for 10 years or hold an active CR (Certified Restorer) certification from RIA (Restoration Industry Association) for 10 years
  • Have 15 years remodeling industry experience
  • Successfully complete 5 required courses
  • Adherence to the GMR Code of Ethics

  2. Risk Management and Insurance for Building Professionals 
  3. Profitable Business through Quality Practices
  4. Diversification: Capitalizing on New Business Opportunities
  5. Green Building for Building Professionals
Associated Fees:
  • Local course fees: determined by the local HBA
  • Graduation fee: $145 members, $245 non-members
  • Renewal fee: $50 annually for members, $75 for non-members
 
Continuing Education Requirements:
  • Twelve (12) Continuing Education hours every three years
