About the Award
The National Housing Endowment Builder Achievement Award for Outstanding Community Service was established in 2005 to honor builder, developer and remodeler members of the NAHB for their exceptional philanthropic endeavors. Recognizing community service and charitable projects that are performed by the home building industry is essential to fostering awareness among consumers that reflects the generosity of home builders and their unwavering commitment to the communities they build.
The award was established through a grant to the Endowment by Isaac Heimbinder, chairman of Rockville, MD-based Buildtopia, a provider of Web-based construction management software for home builders, and his wife, Sheila.
