Purpose

To provide recognition for the accomplishments of teaching faculty members in construction education.

Eligibility 

Nominations

Candidates may be nominated by fellow faculty members, students, construction professionals, their local HBA, or by themselves.

Criteria

Nominees will be judged in five areas:

• Full-time teaching responsibilities.
• Assigned and voluntary extracurricular activities with students.
• Activities with local HBA, NAHB and/or other construction industry organizations.
• Other professional activities including research, publications and presentations.
• Construction experience.

Awards

• No more than one award will be given to an educator in a four-year (Bachelor’s degree) program and one to an educator in a two-year (Associate’s degree, voc-tech or high school) program for each category. 
• Winner(s) will receive a cash prize by Delmar Cengage Learning for each of Outstanding Educator and Outstanding Junior Faculty.
