NAHB is proud to announce its ninth NAHB Custom Home Builder of the Year Award, sponsored by Sherwin-Williams. The award recognizes a custom builder for his or her professional achievements in crafting one-of-a-kind custom homes: one who exhibits a high level of customer service and demonstrates important leadership in the industry and community.

Eligibility

A nominee must be a custom home builder. He or she must demonstrate excellent leadership qualities in his or her business. The nominee must be an active member of NAHB or at their state and/or local building association and involved in the local community.

Candidates can be self-nominated, nominated by a colleague, or nominated by an HBA executive officer. If the entry form is not submitted by the HBA/BIA executive officer or chapter president, the person doing the nominating is encouraged to include their name and comments in the appropriate space.

2013 Award Winner

"Being named 2013 NAHB Custom Home Builder of the Year has been an honor that has elevated our brand, opened doors and increased our business,” says Phil Kean of Phil Kean Design Group in Winter Park, Fla. “With this title, 2014 has been an exciting year of opportunity and growth for us. This national award has not only increased the pride felt within our team members, it has also validated our position as a leader in the industry to our clients and community. The weight of this title is worth all the effort required to achieve it. I am very thankful to my peers and friends at the NAHB for recognizing Phil Kean Design Group with this exceptional honor."
