Awards Program Description and Benefits of Entering:

The Association Excellence Awards (AEA) is an annual program designed to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of state and local HBAs and executive officers in the field of association management. The awards program is twofold: the HBA Awards and the Individual Awards.

HBA Awards (Formerly Association Awards)

The HBA Awards offer a wide variety of category choices for all HBAs to enter. For more information, please see the HBA Entry General Criteria and Categories. The HBA Award categories are divided and judged by association size, so all associations have an opportunity to be recognized for their achievements.

HBA Awards Size Categories — based on total membership size, including affiliate members, on Dec. 31, 2012:

350 members or fewer
351-750 members
751+ members
State association (any size)

Individual Awards

The Individual Awards recognize individual executive officers for their accomplishments.

The 2012 AEA Individual Awards are now closed. Winners will be announced at the 2013 Association Leadership Institute Awards Luncheon.
