  Sharing the Expertise

NAHB's publishing arm is widely respected for producing works designed to help builders succeed. Business management, public relations, labor law, building codes, project planning, subcontractor management — all of these and hundreds of others are addressed by NAHB experts. Today, www.builderbooks.com is an invaluable resource.

Members also provide much of the expertise. Since 1950 NAHB members have contributed their own knowledge to about a dozen Councils, each focused on a specific market segment topic, like multifamily housing, building systems, and remodeling.

Then in 1964 NAHB established its renowned Research Center to test and certify products and practices. Whether the question is about porous asphalt, wood waste, special piping, or a new building method, the answers can all be found at www.nahbrc.org.
