| International Builders’ Show® From NAHB’s earliest years its annual convention and exposition (since 1998 known as the International Builders’ Show®) has been the single most important resource for members, providing crucial education and access to new building products and procedures. The list of famous and influential people who have attended or addressed the NAHB's conventions is remarkable, including Presidents, Senators, Secretaries of Housing, and many others. Their presence speaks to NAHB's influence and stature. In 1945, more than 3,000 people attended the first combination convention/exposition, a surprising number given that total membership at the time was only 5,538 and wartime restrictions made travel difficult. Recently, more than 100,000 attended the 2007 International Builders' Show (more than 30 times as many as in 1945!) |
